Is it allowed and safe to leave your car at the trailhead if we will be riding the trail for 4 days (Deadwood to Edgemont and back)?

Left car in Edgemont for 4 days, there were several others cars there. It was fine. I didn't see any issues with the other cars. Cars that I saw left at other trailheads all seemed to be fine as we rode through.
