We are wondering about parking at the trailhead in Deadwood. We want to ride the trail with at least one over night stay during the ride and don't want to worry about the vehicle. Can anyone comment?

I can't comment regarding overnight parking, but there is a large lot at the trailhead. Deadwood seems like a reasonably safe town, but there is always risk.
