I know helmets are mandatory during the Summer and Fall Trail Treks, but I don't see anywhere that says they are required outside of those dates. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about that.

Summer Trek 2023: June 13-15
Fall Trail Trek 2023: September 15-17

JMO, I crashed on a very similar trail WITH a helmet. Had I not had that helmet on, I probably wouldn't be writing this. JMHO!

Uhmmm...Well I don't have an E-Bike, I use a ME-Bike,(I make it go).

Wearing a bike helmet reduces serious head injury by approximately 87%. If you fall while riding, your head speed can accelerate (with inertia) to as much as 20 mph. Imagine smacking your head against a wall at 20 mph. (Nuff said.) Did bike pack Mickelson and it is beautiful. Good luck.
