These goat head or puncturevine has spoiled some trips on soft-surfaced trails on the Colorado front range for us. Does it grow in that part of South Dakota?

... answered my own question after completing Hill C. to Pringle and back day 1, then Hill C. to Deadwood and back day 2. The surface is very well groomed, thorns are definitely not any concern!
